The Disney circulator falsely claims Disney was "promised some land on a hand-shake deal" by the city, but now "they" want to build "low-income housing around Disneyland" that attracts "some unsavory people - you know what I mean?" The circulator also claims Disneyland might "leave Anaheim" if the SunCal project is built.

Truth: SunCal's proposal is not a "low-income housing project around Disneyland." SunCal is proposing a condominium development and has agreed to allocate 15% of the condominiums as affordable units. The project isn't next the Disneyland, but located at the far edge of the Resort District from Disneyland on a site currently occupied by two trailer parks. The suggestion Disneyland would "leave" if condos are built is purely a Disney scare tactic.

The Disney circulator falsely states the Disney initiative effects on the 27-acre site where SunCal proposes developing condominiums.

Truth: The Disney initiative affects every property owner in the Resort District - except Disney. The initiative would make it virtually impossible for any property owner to request even a minor zoning adjustment without waging a hugely expensive campaign to obtain the approval of Anaheim voters - except for Disney, which wrote the initiative to exempt itself.

This Disney circulator said the issue was "low cost housing" by Disneyland. He claimed he to be an Anaheim resident and a volunteer.

Truth: The issue is not "low cost housing." The issue behind the Disney initiative is the Disney Corporation's attempt to control property that doesn't belong to it, by passing an initiative that restricts the property rights of every Resort District property owner but itself. It's difficult to believe a circulator who claims to be a volunteer for an initiative he also claims to know almost nothing about, and can't say how he became a volunteer in the first place.
